Charitable outreach: giving back to our community

Helping kids and those most in need

At MercuryGate, we’re grateful for the North Carolina community we call home. We’re committed to helping to make it a better place for everyone by supporting several outstanding organizations doing great work here. Our giving is not just financial. We also give our time, volunteering to provide a personal touch and help make a difference for people.

North Carolina Special Olympics

MercuryGate staff are honored to volunteer at the North Carolina Special Olympics, where we support school-aged children to experience this exceptional event.
Special Olympics North Carolina held its first games in 1970 with 400 participants and has since grown to be recognized globally as one of the largest Special Olympics programs in the world. Nearly 40,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities participate in Special Olympics North Carolina.

Durham Rescue Mission

Our annual toy drive helps support the Durham Rescue Mission during the holiday season. Over 13,000 children, who would otherwise go without, receive gifts from the Durham Rescue Mission, and we are happy to be able to help.
The Durham Rescue Mission is Durham, NC’s oldest and largest long-term homeless shelter, providing food, clothing, permanent supportive housing, vocational training, biblical counseling, job placement, education, accountability, and much more to men, women and children in Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh.

Triangle Aquatic Center

MercuryGate is proud to be an ongoing sponsor of the Triangle Aquatic Center. Their mission is to build and operate public aquatic facilities for the health, safety, recreation, and competition needs of Triangle citizens and aquatic organizations.

Raven Rock Ramble

MercuryGate is a sponsor of the Raven Rock Ramble, a century (100-mile) bicycle ride that explores the four-county area (Wake, Harnett, Lee, and Chatham) around Raven Rock State Park. Proceeds benefit the UNC Kidney Center for direct patient services. Since its start in 2002, the Raven Rock Ramble has raised over $291,000 toward kidney health and awareness.
