At MercuryGate, we are committed to designing the future of delivery and providing innovation solutions for the transportation market. And, when we say that, we don’t just mean drones, 3D printing, and bitcoin. We are talking about how the critical technology platforms that logistics professionals rely on will evolve to support the changing market dynamics. Transportation Management Systems (TMS) have come a long way since we started in 2000, and the technical skills of our customers have advanced at an equally incredible rate.
We asked the next generation of technology and talent what they think the future holds for transportation management systems and numerous undergraduate and graduate-level students at MercuryGate University participant schools submitted an essay describing how they see the Future of Delivery, including the forces and technologies that will shape the supply chain, logistics, or transportation fields over the next 10+ years, and how transportation management systems will need to evolve to keep up.
