Students to Develop Real-World Skills Using Cutting Edge Transportation Management Technology

CARY, N.C. – April 10, 2018 (BUSINESS WIRE) MercuryGate® International, Inc., a leading provider of transportation management solutions (TMSs), today announced that McGill University in Montreal, Quebec; and the University of North Texas at Dallas are now included in the MercuryGate University (MGU) program. As participants of the MGU program, these universities will add MercuryGate’s TMS to their curriculums, allowing students to develop real-world skills using cutting-edge technology.
“MercuryGate is pleased to expand our MGU program and to welcome our first Canadian university,” said Monica Wooden, CEO and Co-founder, MercuryGate International, Inc. “We are strongly committed to developing tomorrow’s supply chain leaders. Providing universities and students with the software they need to succeed is central to that commitment.”
The supply chain industry is projected to grow by 22% by 2022, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, compared to an average of 11 percent for all occupations. “With this level of projected demand, graduates will need to be well-prepared to fill these critical roles, and MercuryGate is pleased to contribute to the process through the MGU program,” said Ms. Wooden.

“At McGill’s School of Continuing Studies, our programs in Supply Chain and Logistics have always strived to present our learners with state-of-the-art best practices and MercuryGate fits this profile perfectly. We fully expect to have the technology in use in both undergraduate and graduate programs, allowing students to get hands-on experience with the technology, and ensuring that they are ready to deliver the full value of MercuryGate platforms to their future employers,” said John Gradek, McGill University Professor.
